Our friends over at the Biospheric Foundation have announced Salford’s first Permaculture Design Course, and the first one in the Greater Manchester area for years. They will bring together an exciting blend of learners – adults from all walks of life, local to Salford and from further afield.
Over two weeks, BF will explore what permaculture is and how we can use it in our homes, communities and work places. Guest contributions will make links between permaculture, art and work in public spaces, and show how the three can be combined to great effect. Visits will take us to some of the most inspiring permaculture sites in the Northwest, and participants will get a chance to use their new skills in creating real-life designs for public spaces in Salford.
Defined schedule’s and fee’s will be announced over the next 8 weeks, places are limited to 25, with 19 places remaining. The course is run by the Biospheric Foundation in collaboration with Vertical Village Community, Salix Homes, MIRIAD, Manchester School of Architecture, MMU.
