I’ve just come across the University of South Carolina (USC) Science Films competition that had been set up last september (2011) by Professor Clifford V. Johnson from their Department of Physics and Astronomy. The film competition was a cross-university project taking in all departments linking students so they can communicate idea’s and produce a collaborated film. Here are the 2nd and 3rd winner, (Sadly, the 1st Prize winner, Time, (by Kevin Le and Edward Saavedra) uses copyrighted music and they are waiting to sort out permission) plus 2 films that won honorable mentions in the Science Film Competition. You can also view all the entries at USC youtube channel sciencefilmsusc.

“Superluminal Neutrinos in 5 Minutes” – Directed by Josh Heineman

Filmmaker’s roles and the synopses can be found here.
